2021 Season Information

We have put countless hours in throughout the previous months to provide our community with an opportunity to participate in sport this summer to its' safest capacity. Creation of this season has been done with guidance from the Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU), Province of Ontario, Ontario Soccer, and the Township of McNab Braeside.

We will proceed with organized soccer this year as long as Renfrew County is in the ORANGE, YELLOW, or GREEN ZONES!

This year, soccer in Arnprior/McNab/Braeside will be considered a Developmental Season. This means we will operate as a house league club, not travelling to other communities and not hosting visiting teams. All players within our club will stay at Dochart Park, only playing with local residents of Renfrew County.

Our goal this year is to keep our community engaged in sport while promoting a healthy mental and physical lifestyle. Let’s enjoy some sun and fresh air this year at the park.

This change has little effect on our Mini Program as it has already functioned in this format. Minor changes may be announced to better adhere to COVID protocols regarding spacing and timing of soccer activities. Click here to learn about the 2021 Mini Program.

Our youth league has taken the largest impact as we will not be offering competitive soccer this year and you will not be playing league games. Weekly practices and planned scrimmages will replace officiated matches against our usual rivals. Our youth league runs for ages 9 to 18. Click here to learn about our 2021 Youth Program.

Registration costs have been altered to reflect the changes this year. Fees are as followed:

U4-U6 - $100.00

U7-U10 - $120.00

U11-U18 - $130.00

Adult - $130.00 (click here for more information on adult programs)

Players this year are still registered and insured with Ontario Soccer and will receive a uniform or practice wear. Prices are to reflect field time, administration costs and equipment costs while adjusting to new expenses deriving from COVID-19 and required coaching courses as mandated from Soccer Canada.

To minimize contact sorting out jersey sizing, you are being asked to provide the jersey size you will need in your registration form. Click here to see the sizing chart for the youth and mini players.

This new and challenging season requires lots of help. We are in need of coaches to help carry out the soccer activity as well as managers to help facilitate the added paperwork caused by COVID. This work includes communication, attendance and assisting parents and coaches with the new rules instated this year.

I urge you to sign up to help if you can by clicking the box in your child’s registration stating you would like to be a coach and/or manager. We are all in this together.

More information will follow with rules and regulations for the season but be sure, we are working very hard to make sure we can keep you safe. Countless hours have gone into our Return To Play report and we are in communication with our health unit, municipality and governing bodies.

With this ever-changing situation, we are ready to adapt to meet requirements and mandates set by higher authorities. All rules, regulations and soccer programming is subject to change.
