To all AMBUSC members:  

Our AMM (Annual Members Meeting) is scheduled for Sunday, January 28 at 2 PM and will be held in
person at PJ’s Restaurant.  Since returning to regular play after Covid, our Soccer Club has grown substantially to over 700 players.

To ensure we continue to provide a quality soccer program there is a small group of dedicated
volunteers that have been donating a substantial amount of their time over the last few years to fill
multiple roles on the Board and ensure all the responsibilities of running the Soccer Club are completed.

In order to achieve this, we need more help. Ideally it would be great to have one person per role so
people are only responsible for one thing.

The following Board positions are vacant and need to be filledat our AMM:

 Director of Operations – Liaise with the Township to ensure all facilities are maintained and in
working order so all soccer operations can proceed accordingly.
 Mini Soccer Director – Co-ordinate and run the Mini Soccer program for players in the Under 4
to Under 8 program.
 Vice President – assist the President and fill in for any meetings or activities the President can
not attend or complete.

There are monthly meetings through the off season with various tasks required depending on the role. If
you are interested in any of these positions, please email zak.butterly@hotmail.ca as soon as possible to
prepare for the AMM.

We also need help in other areas outside of the Board of Directors that don’t require specific soccer
knowledge so if you feel like you don’t know enough about soccer to help, it’s ok, you still can. Below is
a list of areas we need Volunteers for every year starting in the 2024 Summer Season. If you would like
to volunteer in any of these areas you can send an email to zak.butterly@hotmail.ca with your area of
interest. We will be contacting volunteers to confirm participation at the beginning of February. Please
also feel free to pass this on to anyone outside of our club that may want to join us.

Photo Co-Ordinator
This role requires someone to liaise with a professional photography company to schedule photo days
for each age group and assist with photography needs.

Clothing Order Co-Ordinator
Work with our uniform provider to help develop a catalogue of AMBUSC clothing for members to
purchase and assist with order deliveries.

Ottawa Atletico Co-Ordinator
Liaise with contact at Canadian Premier League Ottawa Atletico professional soccer team to arrange a
club day for our members to purchase tickets to attend and arrange extra activities for our players to
participate.

Sponsorship/Fundraising Committee
Group of people needed to contact businesses and present sponsorship opportunities to collect funds
for the soccer club to subsidize costs of registration and run fundraising initiatives to reach targets
needed to subsidize registration fees.

Social Committee
Form a group that will work within a budget to develop, plan and run social events for the soccer club
such as the year end Mini Soccer Banquet.

Field Maintenance
A group is needed to help move the goals and benches onto the fields and putting up nets at the
beginning of the season then putting it all away at the end of the season. Also, help is needed weekly to
line all of the fields.

Coaches and Managers are always needed and Convenors will be added for each mini soccer age group
this season to help keep things more organized. We will reach out for those volunteers as we get closer
to the season.
